As Diaper Need Awareness Week comes to a close, we are reminded of just how powerful community can be when people come together for a shared mission. Every year, this week shines a light on an issue that is too often overlooked, the fact that 1 in 2 families in the U.S. struggles to afford enough diapers for their children.
At Bottoms Up Diaper Bank, we see firsthand what this need looks like in our community. Parents making tough choices between food, bills, and diapers. Teachers stepping in to support families who are doing the best they can. Grandparents stretching their fixed incomes to care for little ones. These stories are real, and they fuel the work we do each and every day.
This week, with your support, we were able to:
•Share family testimonials that highlighted the true impact of diaper donations
•Partner with local schools and classrooms to ensure children had what they needed
•Raise awareness across social media, local news, and community conversations
•Distribute diapers to families who needed them most
But while the week may be over, the need doesn’t stop. Every day, babies in our community still go without the basics. Every week, new families turn to us for help. And every month, our shelves need to be restocked to keep up with the demand.
That’s why your continued support matters so much. Whether it’s donating diapers, making a financial gift, hosting a drive, or simply sharing our mission with others, you are helping us ensure that no child goes without this basic necessity.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us during Diaper Need Awareness Week. Together, we are helping families one contribution at a time, and we look forward to continuing this journey with you.
